FOBOS 1 Split vs FOBOS 3 Split. Purpose and features.

The FOBOS 1 Split and FOBOS 3 Split electricity meters are an innovative development of WAVIOT.
The main application of meters of "Split" version is the organization of electricity metering in individual houses, summer houses and other detached buildings, mainly in rural areas.
Split meters consist of two interacting components - a computing unit and a remote display. You can receive data and information about the device status, control it remotely using the remote display or smartphone. Data is reliably protected by encryption algorithms against third-party influences and unauthorized access. Reliable interaction between the two parts of the "Split" meter is a prerequisite and complies with GOST 3181811-2012.
The meter uses NB-Fi technology for data transmission by default, and you can also install a GSM SIM card.
The "Split" design is created to realize several tasks:
- Placement of the computing unit close to the balance belonging boundary: the boundary between the area of responsibility of the power supplying organization and the consumer, usually on the support of a low-voltage power line - 0.2\0.4 kV.
- Preventing unauthorized access and influence: distancing the computing unit from the consumer in order to prevent attempts to influence or modify the metering device in order to underestimate its readings (energy theft).
- Protection against external influences: applying more stringent requirements to the computing unit.
Main features of the "Split" version of the FOBOS 1, FOBOS 3 and general meters:
Application of the unique technology of long-range low-power radio communication NB-Fi, which provides reliable uninterrupted data exchange in the amount required by the RF Government Decree № 890 and allowed by the Ministry of Digitalization of the Russian Federation.
Multifunctionality and multitasking of the remote display DV-2, which allows to receive and display in real time the meter readings, and act as a local radio communication device between the portable computer and the computing unit, which is used by the operating organization to check and configure the meter.
Features FOBOS 1 Split:
- Mounting the meter's computing unit directly on the wire or on a stretch allows to install metering for a large number of consumers supplied from a single transmission line support.
- Fully sealed, non-disassembled design of the computing unit.
- Optional protective cover that limits unauthorized access to the meter's power terminals and protects service personnel from accidentally touching the terminals, as well as providing additional protection against precipitation.
- The most effective application of Phobos 1 Split is in rural areas and low-rise buildings.
Features of FOBOS 3 Split:
- Secure attachment of the meter computational unit directly to the power line support by means of a bandage tape (double attachment).
- The bell-shaped design of the computer unit enclosure provides maximum protection against precipitation. Additional compound sealing of the joints of the enclosure and other elements of the computer unit structure.
- Application of the classic terminal block with cable cross-section up to 12 mm.
Meters of "Split" version of FOBOS 1, FOBOS 3 type have the symbol "S" in the conventional designation. For example, FOBOS 1 230 V 5(80) A IQOLS-S, FOBOS 3 230 V 5(100) A IQOLS-S. The purpose of other symbols and digits in the designation is described in detail in the meter manuals.
